Services
Social Services
Our goal is to enable as many seniors as possible to maintain their independence as long as possible. Each site has its own social worker who works to link the resident and family to available community services.
Free Van Transportation
Transportation with a hydraulic lift for wheelchair accessibility is available on a scheduled basis for those who need transportation for shopping, medical visits, banking, and trips to mall.
Meal Programs
An affordable lunch program is offered in all buildings to help meet the nutritional and socialization needs of our residents.
Housekeeping Services
Housekeeping services are available via third party agencies and can be conveniently arranged by our Social Service staff.
Religious Activities
A community Rabbi spends one day per week in each building providing spiritual guidance, counseling sessions, religious history classes and even conducts Shabbat and High Holiday Services.
Socialization For Seniors
A collaborative program between Federation Housing and Golden Slipper Gems provides age appropriate activities on a regular basis.
Recreational Activities
A variety of activities are arranged to encourage all tenants to get out and about. Regular entertainment, special outings, bingo, discussion groups, arts and crafts classes and dancing are among the activities enjoyed by residents.
Computer Learning Center
Computer centers are available in all buildings for residents to enjoy and learn. Residents are often seen surfing the web and sending e-mails to friends and relatives as a way to stay connected.
Self-Reliance and Activity
Residents enjoy the best of both worlds: the comfort of a clean, affordable, friendly environment, and the freedom to remain independent while selecting their own level of community involvement.
